I’ve moved around the world, but I haven’t changed a bit.

Well, at least not in regard to my love for Disney.

Almost four months ago, I left my life in Orlando, Florida, to come to Europe for a teaching job in Spain.

Where as in Florida I was surrounded by theme parks, sun and alligators, my life now is snowy sierras, tapas and tortilla, and the beautiful harmony of Spanish language and Madrid street performers.

Yet, despite all this unique beauty, what am I most excited about right now?

I’M GOING BACK TO DISNEYLAND PARIS this weekend!

You can take the girl out of Disney, but I guess you can’t take the Disney out of this girl.

Yes, I was just there three months ago, making that the third Disney park I visited during the month of August, but for this Disney addict, three months is long enough to wait.

I just love Disney (how unique, right?). After visiting Disneyland nearly every year since my first trip at 18-months, a perk of being born in California, a lifelong obsession was formed.

I blame one profound ride on Peter Pan’s flight when a ride stop forced the lights to come on, illuminating the mechanics behind the show scene and opening a Pandora’s box of curiosity in my mind about how this magical place works.

I also blame my babysitters, the world’s greatest Tina and Marty, who took multiple trips from San Jose every year and raised me to know that you can never be too old for Disney.

When I was in college I knew I needed more and so I participated in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World, operating attractions in Fantasyland of the Magic Kingdom, the most visited land in the most visited theme park in the world.

After my College Program ended I stayed on as a seasonal employee and returned to work on breaks from school.  Upon graduating I returned to Florida full time to work for the mouse, first as an intern and then as an associate in the Internal Communications department.

Though life has carried me away from working for Disney, my passion for this brand is as high and unrelenting as ever.

SONY DSCSONY DSCToday I’m skipping down the hallways of the school I work at in between classes with a huge grin on my face as I think about all I will do this weekend at Disneyland Paris.

I can’t wait! I’m going to walk down Main Street. And ride Space Mountain. And twirl on the Tea Cups. And walk through the Alice in Wonderland maze. And meet Mickey Mouse (who cares if its for the 2,000th time). And… AHHHH!!!! Disneyland Paris here I come!

Check back for my tips on enjoying the magic of Disneyland Paris during the holiday season.
